Saudi Embassy in Bangladesh Celebrates Saudi Founding Day

The Saudi pavilion participating in the Doha Expo 2023 for Horticulture celebrated the Saudi Founding Day, which falls on February 22 every year.

It presented heritage and cultural experiences that narrate the story of a deep-rooted Saudi national legacy. This journey took the pavilion’s visitors to explore the Kingdom’s rich heritage on this historic occasion that has many national meanings.

The celebrations at the Doha Expo included various events reflecting the rich and unique Saudi identity and heritage. Among these events were traditional folk art and music performances, traditional fashion shows, and fine arts exhibitions showcasing the aesthetics of Saudi culture.

Saudi Founding Day

Saudi Arabia celebrated the Saudi Founding Day on Thursday, 12 Shaban 1445H, corresponding to February 22, 2024. This day remarks the founding of the Saudi state in the mid-year of 1139H (1727 AD) by Imam Mohammed bin Saud.

The celebration of Founding Day serves as a reminder of Saudi Arabia’s journey. Moreover, this day is a testament to the nation’s resilience and unity, continuing a legacy that began in 1727. The Kingdom has faced challenges but maintained societal security and cohesion.a
