Eastern Province Initiates Projects on Fatimah Al-Zahra Street Development
Development of New Parks in Khobar
The Eastern Province Municipality has started the Fatimah Al-Zahra Street Development Street project in Abdullah Fouad district in Dammam. Fatimah Al-Zahra Street Development is focused on enhancing the efficiency of road levels within neighborhoods.
Enhancing Dammam’s Urban Landscape
The Fatimah Al-Zahra Street Development project aligns with the Municipality’s road improvement strategy. Additionally, it focuses on quality enhancement through the Urban Landscape Improvement Program.
Consequently, the project aims to improve user satisfaction, safety, comfort, and security. Furthermore, it continues developing various sites and streets, enhancing services for residents.
The project involves repaving 1,300 meters of street and building new 40,000 square meter pedestrian sidewalks. These sidewalks will feature trees and decorative lighting. Ultimately, the goal is to enhance road quality and the overall quality of life in Dammam.
Development of New Parks in Khobar
The Municipality has also begun working on developing parks announced in the Sharae neighborhood in Khobar. Targeting 16 parks with a total area of over 150,000m², this initiative is part of the “Green Sharae” project. Among these is Rehab Park, covering an area of 3,300m², featuring green spaces, shade trees, children’s playgrounds, seating areas, and car parking.
This contributes to attracting residents and encouraging them to engage in healthy activities, increasing green spaces, creating a healthy environment, enhancing aesthetic appeal, and positively impacting the environment. Rehab Park and Fatimah Al-Zahra Street Development projects are carefully planned throughout the neighborhood.
Launch of Dhahran Marathon
On another note, the Municipality launched the “Our Children Towards a Sustainable Future” marathon in Dhahran, in collaboration with the Elite Khobar International School and Khobar Health Network. The event included educational, recreational corners and physical games focusing on oral and dental health and promoting walking culture.
This event and Fatimah Al-Zahra Street Development project aimed to raise community awareness and improve individual and family lifestyles, instilling healthy life choices and habits among children.
