10 Medals for Saudi Arabia in Asian Games Hangzhou 2022

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia won 10 medals during its participation in the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou 2022.  The Kingdom bagged a total of 4 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 4 bronze medals in the just concluded 19th Asian Games, held in  China at the Big Lotus Stadium.

Saudi Arabia’s flag rose among the crowds after Saudi participants received the 10 medals.

Saudi Arabia’s participation in Asian Games

Abdulaziz Baeshen, CEO, Secretary-General of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, stated that Saudi Arabia collected 10 medals during its participation in the 19 Asian Games in Hangzhou 2022.

He  tweeted “Our participation in the masters ended with 10 colorful medals, and the short-term target of Hangzhou 2022 was achieved, bringing the medals achievement index back up after the 2014 Incheon cycles.”

“The tally was 7 medals: 3 gold medals, 3 silver medals, and one bronze; in Jakarta 2018, the tally was 6 medals: one gold, two silver medals, 3 bronze medals,” he said.

Baeshen expressed appreciation and thanks to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s heroes for their participation in the 19th edition, supporting the fulfilment of the aspirations of the Kingdom’s youth and its wise leadership.

 

Saudi delegation to the Asian Games

– Saudi sprinter Issa al-Ghazouani “21 years” received a gold medal in the 800 meters.

– Youssef Masrahi won a gold medal in the 400 metres.

– Saudi runner Abdullah Abkar got a silver medal in the 200 meters.

– Bowler Mohmmad Tolo “22 years old” earned a silver medal in the iron ball propulsion competition.

– Orbah Hussein Al-Hizb won a bronze medal in the cane jumping final after scoring a leap of 5.65 metres.

– The Saudi team received a gold medal for equestrian competitions, jumping the barriers – teams – after topping it without mistakes with a total time of 111.83 seconds.

– Saudi champion Abdullah Al Sharbatly,was crowned with a gold medal for equestrian competitions, jumping barriers – individually – after leading without mistakes with a total time of 39.68 seconds.

– Abdulmalek Al Murhi, Saudi Jiu-Jitsu team player, won a bronze medal in under 62 kg competition.

– Saudi Karate national team player Tariq Hamidi won a bronze in over 84 kg contest.

– Saudi champion Omar Nadda, the 19-year-old with the first bronze medal at the beginning of the march, won a bronze medal in the under 85 kg category.
