
Saudi Arabia took part in the opening of the United Nations Forum on Forests in New York. The Kingdom was represented by its Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz Alwasil, who attended the first session of the forum’s 21st meeting at UN headquarters.

This year’s forum focuses on advancing sustainable forest management and highlighting its importance in achieving sustainable development goals. It also reviews progress made under the United Nations Strategic Plan for Forests 2017–2030, bringing together representatives from member states, international organizations, and key stakeholders in environmental and development fields.
