104 tons of Saudi aid arrives in northwestern Syria

Saudi aid shipment provided by the KSrelief arrived in northwestern Syria on February 11, 2023.

 

The Saudi shipment included foodstuffs, tents, and medical aid .

 

A source from the campaign told Syria TV website that Saudi Arabia has sent more than 104 tons of humanitarian aid .

 

Saudi Arabia try to relief as much as possible from those affected by the earthquakes in northwestern Syria.

 

He added that the center agreed with one of the partners inside Syria, in coordination with the Turkish government.

 

He indicated that this aid will be distributed in 20 regions, including (Jenderes, Bulbul, Rajo, Idlib, Atmeh, Sarmada, Kafr Takharim, Darat Azza and Atarib).

 

The source stated that the implementing partners accredited to the center will be responsible for distributing this aid.

 

The source indicated that a team arrived from Saudi Arabia to study the necessary needs inside Syria, to coordinate sending other relief aid to northwestern Syria.

 

IMF urges the international community to assist Syria.

 

The International Monetary Fund has called on able countries to provide urgent aid to Syria.

 

It is noteworthy that Syria was subjected to a devastating earthquake that struck its lands at dawn last Monday.

 

It is noteworthy that Syria has been suffering from the blockade and US sanctions, since 2003, under the so-called “Syria Accountability” law.

Since the recent earthquake hit the Syrian and Turkish lands at dawn on February 6, American and Western officials have rushed to call for urgent aid.
