The Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with Tuwaiq Academy, has launched “Absher Tuwaiq,” the world’s largest hackathon, taking place from December 11–13 at the Riyadh Front Exhibition and Conference Center.
Held as part of the Absher Conference 2025 and under the patronage of Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the event brings together more than 4,000 participants from across the Kingdom.
With prizes totaling up to SAR 1 million, the hackathon also offers three seats in the MVPLAB product program, supported by the National Technology Development Program. Additionally, this initiative aims to empower over 100,000 individuals nationwide, nurture exceptional local talent, and enhance Saudi Arabia’s leadership in advanced technologies and digital transformation.
Organized in strategic partnership with the Saudi Data and AI Authority, the hackathon includes four main tracks:
- Artificial intelligence and security forecasting
- Digital identity and security applications
- Internet of Things and field technologies
- Innovation and development of Absher services
Moreover, teams spend three days developing innovative technological solutions in a collaborative, competitive environment, guided by experts and specialists from various technical fields.
The Absher Conference will follow from December 17–19, also organized by the Ministry of Interior and Tuwaiq Academy, with Elm Company as the main sponsor. Marking ten years since the launch of the Absher Forum, the conference introduces a new concept and approach, highlighting the latest national digital innovations and reaffirming the Kingdom’s global leadership across multiple sectors.
