With unprecedented rise in revenues … 2019 is an exceptional year for Saudi Airlines

According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Saudi Arabia is ranked the second in the Arab region in the volume of revenues out of civil aviation sector, these revenues are expected to increase directly after the full operation of the new King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah and Neom Airport.

Reports of Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation revealed recently an increase in revenues with its subsidiaries by 5%, equivalent to (8.8) billion riyals, while expenses decreased to a decline of (12%), (7.2) billion riyals, compared to In 2017, the Saudi channel of Al-Arabiya reported.

IATA also pointed to the contribution of the civil aviation sector in the Kingdom by 5.6% in the national product, this contribution reached $ 36.5 billion in 2018 compared to $ 34 billion in 2014, resulted in the creation of approximately 594,000 jobs in 2018.

The Saudi airlines has broken 100 million passengers last year, up 22 per cent, also the number of flights increased to more than 771,000 flights, with an increase of 20% compared to 2015.
