Volkswagen offers owners of its ID 4 vehicle free charging for years

The German car manufacturer Volkswagen has stated that it will provide electric charging service for three years to owners of its sporty-equipped SUV (ID4) electric vehicle in the US at no additional cost and for an unlimited number of kilometres.

Volkswagen said customers who rent or buy the electric vehicle it launched last month can use its network in the United States, which includes more than 470 charging stations and 2,000 fast charging devices.

The ID family is the backbone of Volkswagen’s ambitious plan to manufacture 1.5 million electric vehicles annually by 2025.

The Volkswagen Group said it will spend about $ 40 billion by 2024 to increase production of its electric cars in Europe, China and United States.
