UAE condemns Houthi attempt to target Khamis Mushait in Saudi Arabia
UAE has expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the Houthi militia’s attempts to target civilian areas and objects in the Khamis Mushait region of Saudi Arabia with a booby-trapped drone intercepted and destroyed by the air defenses of the coalition forces.
In a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation reported by the Emirates News Agency (WAM), the UAE affirmed that the continuation of these terrorist attacks by the Houthi militia reflects its blatant defiance of the international community, and its disregard for all international laws and norms.
UAE called on the international community to take an immediate and decisive position to stop these aggressive, deliberate and systematic acts that target the security of the Kingdom.
The ministry indicated that the continuation of these attacks is evidence of these militias’ efforts to undermine security and stability in the region, expressing its full solidarity with the Kingdom over these terrorist attacks, standing with it in one row against every threat to its security and stability, and supporting it in all the measures it takes to preserve its security and the safety of its citizens and residents.
The statement stressed that the security of the United Arab Emirates and the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are indivisible and noting that any threat or danger facing the Kingdom is considered by the state as a threat to its security and stability system.
On Saturday, the Arab coalition forces announced the destruction of a booby-trapped drone that was launched towards the city of Khamis Mushait in southern Saudi Arabia, stressing that all futile attempts to target civilians were confronted and thwarted.
