The industrial development program includes 5 new airports : Minister of Transport

Dr. Nabil bin Muhammad Al-Amoudi, Transport Minister, raised his thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and to His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman, on the occasion of the launch of the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program.

He said: “The Kingdom’s Vision 2030 … embodies the national industry development program and logistics services in the best way, as it aims to integrate capabilities of state agencies in the Kingdom,

as well as attract and encourage local and international investments through four main sectors: energy, Industry, mining, and logistics services, to make the Kingdom a leading industrial power and a global platform for logistics services.

Dr. Al-Amoudi said: “The program has achieved economic movement since the first day of its official launch, where more than 37 agreements were signed with a total value of about 200 billion riyals,

He added that the program started at the beginning,” Strong to achieve his ambitions and goals for the Kingdom to become an industrial powerhouse and a global logistical platform. “

It is noteworthy that ten memoranda of understanding were signed for the members of the logistical platform, including the General Authority of Ports, the General Authority of Customs, the Saudi Railways Company (SAR) and the General Authority of Civil Aviation.

Dr. Al-Amoudi stressed that the Kingdom is moving forward rapidly to be the best and least expensive option for distribution to the Arabian Peninsula, the Levant and East Africa, while upgrading the quality of logistics, infrastructure and tracking services to global levels.

His Excellency added: “We have put in place an integrated strategic plan aimed at developing the infrastructure and raising the level of quality, safety and efficiency in the transportation sector, and this includes a number of mega projects such as the land bridge that will connect the eastern and western coasts of the Kingdom, the establishment of freight and passenger railways exceeding 2,000 km in length. And building and developing 5 airports in various regions of the Kingdom. “

His Excellency went on to say: ‘The unrestricted support that the program receives from the wise leadership of our country, and the continuous follow-up that confirms the position of this program and its sectors, priorities and desired outcomes, will have a direct and positive impact on the gross domestic product and build job opportunities in the various sectors of the program.
