“Study in Saudi Arabia” platform serves students from 160 countries
At its session on Tuesday, the Saudi Council of Ministers decided to establish long- and short-term educational visas for undergraduate students, researchers, and academics.
The Ministry of Education explained that the educational visa aims to attract distinguished talents, raise the quality of the educational process and outputs of research and innovation, and present the Kingdom as an attractive educational destination.
The educational visa also seeks to raise the level of classification and efficiency of Saudi educational institutions globally and to increase the Kingdom’s contribution to spreading the values of moderation and teaching the Arabic language.
The ministry indicated that the visa attracts researchers, undergraduate students, professors, and international academics, pointing out that it is divided into a short visa to study programs that reach an academic year, and a long visa to study long scientific programs.
The advantages of the visa are represented in serving students from 160 countries, recording data in 9 languages, linking applications with the relevant authorities, in addition to facilitating the procedures for joining studies in the Kingdom, and it does not require a sponsor for the international student.
