Saudi-US Joint Training to Combat Drone

On January 19, a partnership was signed with the Spartan College of Aeronautics in the field of training, aviation science, and national cadres in the field of aircraft maintenance and increasing the quality of training. The agreement included providing consultations in the field of aircraft maintenance training for employees of the Saudi Airlines Company for Aviation Engineering and Industry.

On condition that training and workshops would be held at the headquarters of the Prince Sultan Academy of Aviation Sciences, the agreement supports the company’s technical school with specialized expertise and trainers to raise the quality of the school’s performance.

Along the same vein, the General Director of the Saudi Arabian Airlines General Organization, Eng. Ibrahim Al-Omar, said that the agreement enhances the efficiency of technical training in Saudi Airlines. Moreover, he said it raises its quality, and qualifies specialized national cadres of trainers in the field of maintenance of structures, engines and aircraft electronics, which contributes to achieving the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 related to supporting domestic and localization of the aviation and air transport industry.

Training is an essential element in the extensive and sustainable development processes of the organization and its companies, as it is currently witnessing a major shift in its development and raising its efficiency, Al-Omar stressed.

Moreover, he pointed out that all units and sections of the training programs in the corporation and its companies and strategic units have been linked to the Prince Sultan Academy of Aviation Sciences. This link is characterized by high-quality international standards in the field of aviation program training, in addition to the availability of modern technical and training capabilities and an ideal training environment.

Noteworthy, the Saudi Airlines Company for Engineering and Aviation Industry is one of the Saudi Arabian Airlines’ companies, and it takes the King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah as its main center.
