According to Bloomberg, citing sources, Saudi Arabia aims to build the world’s largest building as part of the $500 billion NEOM projects.
According to the reports, the Kingdom intends to construct two skyscrapers, each about 500 meters tall and spanning tens of miles horizontally.
According to the reports, the skyscrapers will reach linearly from the Red Sea shoreline into the desert and will comprise a mix of residential, retail, and office areas.
Designers were told to work on a half-mile-long prototype, according to current and former NEOM personnel.
Each building would be larger than the world’s current largest buildings if completed according to this plan, with the majority of them being factories or shopping malls rather than residential communities.
