The General Authority for Statistics and the Federation of Saudi Chambers have signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of statistics and exchange of expertise.

The MoU aims at contributing to the development and enhancement of economic statistics that support decision-makers and policy-makers in both government and private sectors.

The meeting involved the President of the General Authority for Statistics with business leaders and the private sector. It focused on introducing the pivotal role played by the Authority in providing economic statistics and indicators.

The memorandum, signed by Dr. Fahd Al-Dosari and Walid Al-Arinan, focuses on cooperation in expertise and information exchange. Specifically, it aims to develop statistical business and enhance awareness in private sector establishments about the Authority’s role.

The Acting Secretary-General stressed the need for collaboration between the General Authority for Statistics and the private sector. Furthermore, this alliance aims to fulfill mutual needs, track economic trends, and, ultimately, boost the national economy and sustainable growth, in line with Vision 2030 objectives.

The Federation represents the business sector and commercial chambers in the Kingdom, representing them locally and internationally.

It aims to enhance the private sector’s role in the economy by coordinating with government bodies, representing in forums and conferences, and participating in global economic decisions.

Additionally, the Federation also exerts efforts to improve Saudi Arabia’s trade and investment ties with other nations.
