Korea-Saudi Arabia Investment Forum: Step Towards Stronger Ties

The Korea-Saudi Arabia Investment Forum unfolded today in Riyadh, uniting esteemed officials from both nations.

Saudi and Korean ministers discussed boosting investments across various sectors, emphasizing bilateral cooperation and growth.

A total of 52 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were inked by governmental and private entities. The governmental signed 4 memorandums of understanding with private private sector in fields of cars, water and real estate development.

The private sector signed 48 memorandums of understanding in fields of transport, tourism, energy, renewable energy, technology, infrastructure and cyber security in order to enhance investments between the Kingdom and South Korea.

Forum Activities

The forum included a Short film that showcased the enduring Korea-Saudi relations as well as a presentation on “Invest in Saudi Arabia” to highlight the investment opportunities in the Kingdom, urging investments in Saudi’s economic cities and sectors.

Discussion sessions under the leadership of representatives from both countries delved into future cities, industries, and bilateral cooperation areas.

Representatives of major companies and private sector discussed partnership opportunities and viewed investment opportunities in both countries.

The forum also featured an exhibition, spotlighting investment opportunities across various sectors, with participation of Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence, Royal Commission for Riyadh City, Economic Cities Authorities, National Transformation Program, Vision 2030 and National Housing Company.

The Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol attended the occasion, alongside Saudi Investment Minister Khalid Al-Falih, Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef and Public Investements Fun Governer Yasir Al Rumayyan as well as representatives of major Saudi companies.

On the Korean side, Minister of Foreign Affairs Park Jin, Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Bang Moon-Kyu as well as representatives of major Korean companies attended the occassion.
