Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah warns domestic pilgrims against fake Hajj websites

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has warned of fake accounts and people claiming to provide Hajj services and options within violating campaigns at low prices. It stressed that applying for Hajj from within the Kingdom for citizens and residents should be through the “Umrahna” application and through registration via the link: https://localhaj.haj .gov.sa/. 

The Ministry of Hajj stated, in a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency, that it had monitored many fake accounts and misleading contact numbers for people claiming to provide Hajj services, and requesting personal data and official documents for people, stressing the general citizens and residents the need not to be drawn into undocumented advertisements, which have no Official status in social networking sites. 

The Saudi Ministry confirmed that the electronic portal for domestic pilgrims – which was designated by the ministry to receive requests from citizens and residents for this year – is the only outlet to reserve the services of companies and institutions for authorized domestic pilgrims. The ministry aims achieve transparency, ensure supervision and applying all health and precautionary measures related to the Corona virus. 

It explained that the registration continues via the electronic track for domestic pilgrims until the end of next Saturday, the 13th of Dhu al-Qa’dah, and the results of the screening will be announced after the deadline.
