Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Justice, Dr. Walid bin Mohammed Al-Samaani, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) today with the Minister of Home Affairs and Minister of Law of Singapore, K. Shanmugam, to boost the bilateral cooperation, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The MoU aims to foster the cooperative relations between Saudi Arabia and Singapore through the following mechanisms:
- Suggesting alternative solutions to international disputes
- Promoting legal and judicial expertise
- Exchanging information and expertise in accordance with the best international practices
The current cooperation was part of Al-Samaani’s visit to Singapore to hold a significant meeting with Shanmugam under the umbrella of the judicial cooperation between the two countries.
Both ministers delved into the possible ways further strengthen the bilateral judicial relations to protect all rights and ensure justice.
During the meeting, Dr. Al-Samaani reviewed the Kingdom’s most prominent judicial developments, highlighting the unwavering support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the direct supervision and follow-up of his Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz.
Al-Samaani also underscored the most notable judicial achievement made in line with the Saudi Vision 2030. At the top of these accomplishments is the digital transformation in judicial services that facilitated the ministry’s tasks and activities.
