Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, U.S. Secretary of State Discuss Gaza

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Faisal bin Farhan, received a phone call from the Secretary of State of the United States of America, Antony Blinken, reported Al Arabiya. During the call, they discussed developments on the regional scene, most notably developments in the Gaza Strip.

They also had a call last April during which they discussed files of common interest, most notably developments in Gaza and Sudan.

A statement published by the Saudi Foreign Ministry on its account on the “X” platform said: “Today, Thursday, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a phone call from His Excellency the Secretary of State of the United States of America, Mr. Anthony Blinken.”

The statement added: “During the call, developments on the regional scene and ways to reduce the escalation in the region were reviewed, in addition to discussing files of common interest, most notably Sudan, developments in the Gaza Strip and its environs, as well as the importance of introducing more humanitarian aid to the Strip.”

Last March, the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs also received a phone call from the U.S. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken. They discussed developments in the Gaza strip and its surroundings, and the efforts being made to deal with its security and the humanitarian consequences suffered by the Palestinians there.
