The Saudi Media Academy, part of the Ministry of Media, has officially launched the first phase of its Media Leaders Track in Switzerland. This initiative features an intensive global event management training program designed to elevate the skills of media professionals.
In collaboration with EHL Hospitality Business School, the launch event included a significant memorandum of understanding, signed by Khalid Zain Al-Abdeen, the academy’s CEO, and Stephane Haddad, EHL’s associate dean, that aims to foster international collaboration and cultural exchange. Abdullah Al-Maghlouth, the assistant minister of media and chairman of the academy’s board, attended the ceremony alongside other officials, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Empowering National Media Talent
The primary goal of this partnership is to empower national media talent by enhancing skills and knowledge, as the program supports the ministry’s vision for a robust media landscape in Saudi Arabia. The five-day training camp offers hands-on workshops led by international experts, with participants engaging in site visits to world-class event institutions, focusing on planning, organizing, and executing major events, team leadership, and audience engagement.
This training program marks the first practical phase of a comprehensive four-stage track. Following this initial phase, participants will attend a digital advertising course in Riyadh, an international media camp in Singapore, and conclude with an advanced leadership communication course.
Targeting professionals and creatives across various sectors, the program aims to enhance media presence and improve the management of national events. Ultimately, it seeks to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s representation on the global stage, as it reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to developing a vibrant media environment that resonates internationally.
