Saudi Foreign Minister, UN envoy discuss Yemen crisis
Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, welcomed recently Hans Grundberg, the Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General to Yemen, in the Ministry’s Riyadh headquarters.
The Saudi foreign minister and UN envoy expressed their commitment to finding a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni issue and putting an end to the Houthi militia’s humanitarian abuses.
During the reception, the Kingdom’s efforts and measures to achieve Yemen’s security, stability, and peace were discussed.
The two sides also discussed the Kingdom’s efforts at the regional and international levels to support a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni crisis and to put an end to the Houthi militia’s humanitarian violations against Yemeni civilians, which stymies all political solutions to end the conflict.
The ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Yemen, Ambassador Muhammad Al Jaber, who oversees the SDRPY, was present at the reception.
