Saudi Arabia works to create new 45,000 job opportunities for Citizens
Localization is a fundamental tenet and a primary goal of the national transportation and logistics strategy, according to the Saudi Ministry of Transport and Logistics.
Since the beginning of the current year 2022, 10,000 job openings have been localized in the industry.
According to the localization plan introduced the last year in 2021, the Saudi Ministry of Human Resources announced that it will keep creating new positions in the system to reach the 45,000 jobs initiative by the end of the year.
Minister of Transport and Logistics, Engineer Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, said that the Saudization Committee in the transport system contributed to the employment of more than 10,000 Saudis during the first half of this year.
He also stressed that the decision to localize licensed aviation professions will support the provision of more than 4000 job opportunities for Saudis, and then supports the local labor sector and meet the demand of the labor market.
According to Al-Jasser, this action is in line with the goals of the country’s transportation and logistics strategy. It will help to meet these goals’ higher standards and will improve the Kingdom’s standing on the world stage.
He continued by saying that it is essential to step up collaboration between the public and commercial sectors to help equip skilled Saudi cadres to help lead the future industry of the various transport sectors following the highest international standards and models.
