Saudi Arabia: SR100,000 fine for not wearing a mask

Saudi Ministry of Interior has warned of the penalty for not wearing a muzzle, stressing that it violates preventive measures in light of the spread of a new wave of the emerging Coronavirus “Covid 19”.

It stressed, through her official account on the social networking site “Twitter”, that the penalty for not wearing a mask is a fine of 1,000 riyals, and it may reach 100,000 in the event of a repeat violation.

The Ministry said in a tweet to her: “Not to use a medical mask, or what covers the nose and mouth, is in violation of the preventive measures against the Coronavirus (Covid_19).”

Punishment for family gatherings

Earlier, the “Interior” warned of the danger and punishment of family and social gatherings, such as “condolences and parties” and other gatherings that witness the presence of a large number of people.

it explained that the penalty in this case against the official or the facility is a fine of 40,000 riyals. As for the individuals attending, the fine is 5,000 riyals, and in the event of repetition, it reaches 10,000 riyals.

Corona in the Kingdom

In a related context, the Ministry of Health announced, in its daily report, the registration of 185 new cases of Coronavirus during the past 24 hours, and the registration of 7 new deaths, while 301 cases were recovered.

It indicated that the total confirmed cases in the kingdom reached 544,634 cases, while the total number of recoveries reached 533,151 cases.
