Saudi Arabia showcases its vision with a distinctive pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai

Saudi Arabia has put the final touches on its national pavilion, with which it will participate in the upcoming world exhibition “Expo 2020 Dubai“.

The pavilion will include a creative journey to explore Saudi Arabia, learn about its past and present, and its ambitious vision for the future through rich creative content that reflects the cultural richness of the Kingdom.

Connecting minds, and creating the future

Expo 2020 Dubai is scheduled to start in October of this year 2021 and continue until March of the next year 2022, under the title “Connecting Minds and Creating the Future”, with the participation of more than 190 countries.

The Kingdom will display a unique pavilion within a structure with a unique architectural design that will serve as a beacon and prominent landmark in the exhibition area, with a wide area of 13,000 square meters and an inventive geometric shape rising from the ground to the sky.

This pavilion embodies Saudi Arabia’s ambitions and aspirations for a prosperous future in which it is based on its solid identity and ancient heritage.

Four pillars of exhibition design

In designing the content of its pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, Saudi Arabia is based on four main pillars: a vibrant community, a long-standing national heritage, picturesque nature, and future opportunities.

The pavilion contains a huge screen that presents a continuous presentation of life in Saudi Arabia, while the side facades show a continuous flow of messages that reflect the values of the Kingdom.

Thanks to these advanced technologies, the pavilion has won three Guinness World Records records, the largest interactive light floor, the longest interactive water curtain with a length of 32 meters, and the largest interactive digital mirror with an area of more than 1,240 square meters.

14 cultural sites

The pavilion also provides a tangible embodiment and accurate simulation of fourteen Saudi cultural sites in a total area of 580 square meters, between which the visitor moves via an escalator, and includes sites registered in UNESCO.

The most important projects

Through an electronic window topped with 2030 scenographic crystals, symbolizing the vision of “Saudi 2030,” the pavilion displays the most important Saudi giant projects that are currently being worked on.

The Saudi pavilion includes an art exhibition entitled: “Vision”, which consists of a giant ball with a diameter of 30 m, multi-faceted with an interactive floor, which takes the visitor on a visual and audio journey to the essence of Saudi culture, designed by several Saudi artists.

The Saudi pavilion participating in the “Expo 2020 Dubai” seeks, through this diverse content, to provide an interesting creative journey for visitors through which the true image of the current reality of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is reflected in the light of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
