Saudi Arabia is now a member at the Largest Arab Gathering of iron producers

The National Committee for Steel Industry in the Council of Saudi Chambers has joined the largest Arab gathering of iron producers, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported

This organization, which is based in Algeria, is the greatest Arab gathering of iron producers, and it will strengthen the Kingdom and Arab positions in the iron industry.

This membership represents the Kingdom’s prestigious position in regional and international forums and organizations, as well as the commercial sector and its institutional structures in particular.

The Arab Union for the Iron Industry is one of the League of Arab States’ sanctioned organizations, and it seeks to achieve Arab integration and development in the steel and iron industry.

The organization brings together 98 iron and steel companies from across the Arab globe, with a board of directors made up of 24 of the top Arab iron and steel producers from 13 Arab countries, including the Kingdom.

The National Committee for the Iron Industry was admitted to the International Iron and Steel Organization, which is based in Belgium, in 2019.

The Kingdom’s iron and steel sector has grown significantly in recent years, owing to economic expansion and increased government spending on infrastructure and urban projects.
