An Egyptian airliner made a forced landing in Jeddah due to technical failure
Due to an emergency technical issue during its flight, an Air Cairo plane flying on Sunday from Sohag International Airport to Kuwait had to make an emergency landing at Jeddah Airport in Saudi Arabia.
The technical breakdown on flight SM405 caught the pilot off guard and forced him to make an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia.
All essential precautions were taken to ensure the passengers’ comfort, safety, and security.
Meals and drinks were provided to passengers until a different jet was found to fly them from Jeddah to Kuwait, following a several-hour delay.
Due to the emergency landing and the deployment of an alternate plane, the return trip from Kuwait Airport to Sohag was advised that it would be delayed by several hours.
