Saudi Arabia, represented by the Ministry of Energy, is hosting the International Partnership for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells in the Economy (IPHE) Steering Committee Week in Riyadh from 23 to 26 November 2025, which includes the 44th meeting of the IPHE Steering Committee.
Member countries reviewed progress on their national hydrogen plans and projects, and received updates from IPHE technical working groups on environmental impact assessments, certification frameworks, trade rules, and other priority workstreams.
The program also featured an Education and Outreach session that brought together academics, researchers, and experts for panel discussions on innovation and scientific research in clean hydrogen. In addition, a roundtable with local and international companies across the hydrogen value chain explored recent developments, challenges, and opportunities to accelerate the growth of the clean hydrogen economy.
The week will conclude with a field visit to the NEOM Green Hydrogen Project—the world’s largest green hydrogen facility currently under development—where delegates will review construction progress and key project milestones.
Saudi Arabia’s hosting of the IPHE Steering Committee Week highlights its leading role in advancing sustainability and clean-energy innovation, and underscores its ambition to become a major global producer and exporter of clean hydrogen.
