Saudi Arabia’s sports sector has been recognized with the prestigious Peace and Sport Award. The award honors the Kingdom’s significant contributions to promoting peace through sport.
Recognition of International Efforts
The award highlights the Kingdom’s efforts in hosting elite international events and launching impactful sports initiatives worldwide. The 14th International Peace and Sport Forum, held in Monaco under Prince Albert II’s patronage, presented this honor.
Prince Fahad bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, vice president of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, represented the Kingdom. He accepted the award on behalf of Minister of Sports Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal.
Leadership in Promoting Peace
Prince Abdulaziz expressed gratitude to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their unwavering support. He praised their vision for fostering peace and prosperity globally through sports.
In his speech, he emphasized Saudi Arabia’s leadership in promoting coexistence and communication among nations using sports as a unifying tool.
Prince Abdulaziz thanked Prince Albert and the Peace and Sport organization team for their efforts. He also recognized Joel Bouzou, President of the World Olympians Association, for spotlighting impactful global initiatives.
