Saudi Arabia: 1,088 new infections of Corona … 1398 recovered

The Saudi Ministry of Health announced on Sunday, that the number of cases of coronavirus has increased to 1088, including 7867 active, bringing the total to 9,362, while five deaths were recorded, bringing the total deaths to 97 cases.

The ministry’s spokesman, Mohamed Al-Abd Al-Aali, said that the total cases of recovering from the virus amounted to 1398 cases.

He added that the mechanisms of examination and treatment are unified in all regions of the Kingdom. He stressed that laboratory tests adopt the factors of “speed and accuracy” together, indicating that the total laboratory tests so far exceeded 180 thousand tests.

He stressed that active scanning is carried out according to risk calculations and in graduated stages, pointing out that high-precision laboratories are involved in detecting the virus. He went on to say that active scanning is continuing in locations most vulnerable to outbreaks.

The ministry’s spokesman, Muhammad al-Abd al-Aali, said on Saturday that more tests contribute to reaching the injured before their cases are delayed, stressing that the specialized teams continue the survey operations in the workers ’housing.

The Ministry of the Interior, and within the framework of expanding measures to fight Corona, announced on Saturday the isolation of two neighborhoods in the Al-Ahsa region, east of the kingdom.

An official source at the ministry stated that, in light of the health recommendations submitted by the concerned authorities, the need to strengthen precautionary measures and measures to limit the spread of the new Corona virus in the Kingdom, and to preserve the health and safety of citizens and residents, it was decided to implement additional health precautionary measures by isolating the Al-Faisaliah and Al-Fadiliya neighborhoods in Al-Ahsa Governorate Entering or exiting them, and preventing them from roaming 24 hours a day, from today until further notice.

In addition, it emphasized that these measures were taken within the framework of the Kingdom’s efforts to preserve public health by preventing the spread of the virus, and is subject to continuous evaluation by health authorities.
