Saudi Airlines to resume international flights on 17 May
Khaled bin Abdul Qader Tash, Assistant Director-General of Saudi Airlines Communication, informed Okaz that Saudi Airlines is ready to operate international flights on the 5th day of Shawwal (5/10/1442 AH), therefore 17 May 2021.
In response to Okaz newspaper’s inquiry about a tweet posted on Saudi Airlines’ Twitter account, the official confirmed
it refers to the date when the total restrictions on international travel will be lifted, precisely on the 5th of the coming month of Shawwal.
“Have your bags ready?” Saudi Airlines tweeted on its Twitter account with a photo of travel bags, implying that Saudis would soon be able to travel abroad without restrictions. The suspension has lasted for more than a year following the global spread of the Corona pandemic in March 2020.
