ROSHN Group, Saudi Arabia’s leading multi-asset class real estate developer and a Public Investment Fund (PIF) company, held the groundbreaking ceremony for ALMANAR, its first residential community in the Makkah Region.
Under the patronage of the Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, ROSHN held the event on Wednesday at the project’s site, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The Mayor of Makkah, Musad Aldaood; the CEO of the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites, Saleh Al-Rasheed; the CEO of the General Real Estate Authority, Abdullah Al-Hammad; and the Acting CEO of ROSHN Group Khalid Johar, attended the ceremony. Furthermore, other officials from the public and private sectors were present.
During the event, the guests toured the model villas and explored the diverse housing options provided by ALMANAR community. The new project offers residential villas and other facilities such as schools, mosques, shopping malls, healthcare centers, open spaces, and entertainment zones.
Boasting a strategic location, ALMANAR community is 20 minutes away from the Holy Mosque, less than an hour from King Abdulaziz Airport in Jeddah, and 2 minutes away from Makkah’s western gate. Its design is inspired by the region’s heritage.
On this occasion, the Acting CEO of ROSHN Group, Khalid Johar, noted that ALMANAR community spans an area of 21 million square meters. It provides more than 33,000 residential units, and over 150 facilities to meet its residents’ needs.
On his part, the CEO of the Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites, Saleh Al-Rasheed, said that ALMANAR is ROSHN’s first integrated community in Makkah city. He added that the project has the support of the Commission, as part of its efforts to facilitate the implementation of developmental projects.
