Riyadh to Welcome Moscow-Founded Design Exhibition ARTDOM on Nov. 11
Riyadh will host the Moscow-born design exhibition ARTDOM from November 11–12, with a stunning showcase of collectible furniture, interior design, and contemporary art, according to Arab News.
Set to take place at the Four Seasons Hotel in the iconic Kingdom Centre, the exhibition will feature more than 200 leading brands and manufacturers from around the world. Therefore, the two-day event will provide visitors with a rare opportunity to explore various aspects of global design excellence under one roof.
ARTDOM Founder Daria Zolotova told Arab News that they selected Riyadh for the exhibition’s first major entry into the Middle East due to the region’s ‘big boom in construction and culture.
“And I really consider the GCC market right now — it’s in a good position for developing design,” she said.
Collaborative Platform
The exhibition seeks to further strengthen collaboration between brands, designers, manufacturers, and buyers, particularly as many of the participating labels are displaying their work in the Middle East for the first time.
The event will also feature the participation of design firms from the global market including Moscow, Italy, and France, along with designers from the region.
To transform the exhibition into an integrated platform, several industry icons will engage in a series of workshops and talks, such as:
- Carlo Colombo, architect and designer, co-owner of Studio A++
- Giulio Cappellini, founder and art director of Cappellini
- Rossana Orlandi, international gallerist and design curator
- Marzia and Leonardo Dainelli, founders of Dainelli Studio
ARTDOM also aims to empower local talent through a series of competitions, including the ‘ARTDOM Talents: Furniture and Objects Design Competition,’ which includes dedicated categories for lighting, décor, and furniture.
“It is important for us to matchmake between international brands and local players,” Zolotova said.
Looking ahead, ARTDOM plans to launch projects in the UAE, Oman, and Qatar.
