Qanona valley, located in the Al-Ardiyat Governorate in the Makkah region, recently experienced scattered rainfall that transformed its landscape into a stunning natural artwork. The rain enhanced the beauty of the already picturesque valleys, with greenery spreading across the area and pleasant weather conditions prevailing.
This valley, stretching about 108 kilometers, originates from the heights of the Hijaz mountains near Al-Awamer and Bani Al-Muntashir, eventually flowing westward towards Al-Qunfudhah. Qanona Valley is one of the largest valleys in the Tihama region, known for its abundant running water, unique rock formations, ancient carvings, and the presence of the historical Hubasha market along its banks.
Al-Ardiyat Governorate itself is located in the southernmost part of the Makkah region, between the Al-Baha and Asir regions. This area has a rich history and cultural heritage, as well as growing tourism potential. Some of the prominent towns in the governorate include Namirah, Thuraiban, Al-Mu’aqqas, Sabt Shumran, Nakhal, and Al-Fa’ijah.
