Municipality of Holy Capital Launches “Madinaty” Platform for Smart Hygiene
The Holy Capital Municipality has launched the “Madinaty” platform for smart sanitation, targeting transporters and business owners in Makkah. The initiative aims to develop and enhance the sanitation system through unified digital solutions for monitoring and controlling the collection and transportation of waste.
It includes tracking qualified transport vehicles and service providers, registering waste producers in an electronic system, and setting conditions for tracking service providers to ensure service quality.
The platform also ensures compliance by producers and transporters through electronic contracting and work process automation. This effort is part of the municipality’s drive to promote digital transformation, activate the role of smart municipalities, and deliver high-quality services to various sectors and individuals.
Madinaty Platform
The “Madinaty” platform aims to improve city cleanliness by offering integrated services. These include training waste transporters, enabling electronic contracting for commercial licenses, tracking qualified transporters’ vehicles, and organizing geographical areas efficiently. Moreover, the platform reflects the municipality’s vision for smart, innovative public services in Mecca.
It is worth noting that the platform’s operations are managed using a business model that leverages IoT (Internet of Things) technologies, facilitating monitoring of cleaning activities and enabling vehicle tracking along transportation routes. This enhances the role of smart municipalities in the operational management of cities. Furthermore, electronic qualification and contracting will also be activated for construction activities in the near future.
