Tourism Ministry Launches 2nd Edition of “Tourism Pioneers” Program

The Ministry of Tourism launched the second edition of  “Tourism Pioneers” program, which aims to develop the capabilities of 100,000 young Saudi men and women in the field of hospitality, tourism and travel.

The Minister of Tourism Ahmed bin Aqeel Al-Khateeb launched the “Tourism Pioneers”program on the sidelines of the 116th session of the Executive Council of the World Tourism Organization (WTO) in Jeddah.

Investing in Youth for a Thriving Tourism Sector

Recognizing the importance of investing in the youth, Minister of Tourism Ahmed bin Aqeel Al-Khateeb emphasizes the need to create a skilled and ambitious workforce to support the tourism sector at both regional and global levels.

By equipping young Saudis with the necessary skills and support, the Pioneer Tourism Program aims to contribute to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and play a significant role in the economic diversification efforts.

Comprehensive Training from World-Class Institutions

To ensure the highest quality of training, Ministry of Tourism has carefully selected renowned institutes and educational institutions from around the world. These institutions have been chosen based on their academic capabilities in the field of tourism and training.

Some of the esteemed institutions include: Les Roches Marbella in Spain, Global Hospitality Education, SHMS Swiss Hotel Management School, Glion Institute of Higher Education, Cesar Ritz Colleges, Montreal Institute, ESSEC Business School, Ecole Hoteliere in Lausanne, European School of Economics (ESE), NSW Technical and Further Education, and Business and Hotel Management School (BHMS) in Switzerland.

Extensive Training for Employment Opportunities

Selected participants in the Pioneer Tourism Program will undergo comprehensive training courses that will equip them with the necessary skills to excel in the tourism industry.

These training courses will cover various aspects of hospitality, tourism, and travel, preparing participants for employment opportunities in leading hospitality companies within the Kingdom.
