Tourism Min. Praises Crown Prince’s Presidency of Saudi-CARICOM Summit

In light of Saudi-CARICOM Summit, the Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al Khateeb took to X praising the Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as the chairman of the summit.

The minister affirmed that the Crown Prince’s presidency of the Summit enhances economic growth and investment between the two parties.

It further affirms the Kingdom’s climate action and the importance of boosting the international cooperation to achieve environmental security and sustainability globally.

The Saudi-CARICOM Summit represents a significant stride in international diplomacy. This event aims to bolster relations and explore new cooperation avenues between KSA and the Caribbean Community economy, investment, trade, and tourism.

High-Profile Attendees and Welcomes

The summit has become a focal point with the arrival of prominent CARICOM leaders. Presidents and Prime Ministers from Suriname, Guyana, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Lucia, and other nations have arrived in Riyadh.

Top Saudi officials received them at King Khalid International Airport.

Enhancing Collaborative Efforts

Following a joint action plan agreed upon by the Gulf Cooperation Council and CARICOM for 2023-2027, the Saudi-CARICOM Summit is a critical next step.

This plan emphasizes key objectives for political dialogue, trade enhancement, investment promotion, and tourism cooperation.

It’s geared towards boosting trade and investment flows. It particularly focuses on public-private partnerships in sectors such as transportation and logistics.

Economic Connections and Future Growth

Trade between the Gulf countries and CARICOM amounted to around $6.5 billion in 2021.

The summit and subsequent framework aim to further increase these numbers.

Discussions and collaborations at the Saudi-CARICOM Summit would facilitate opportunities in investment and business, benefiting both regions significantly.
