KSrelief Aids Earthquake Victims in Turkey

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) continues its efforts in Reyhanli, a border city, from February 22 to March 3, 2024, by implementing the Saudi volunteer project “Hayat” to assist earthquake victims in Syria and Turkey.

With the participation of 21 volunteers from various medical specialties, 83 successful surgeries were performed in the fields of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery and urology.

The “Hayat” volunteer project, initiated by KSrelief, significantly, reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment to global humanitarian aid. Between February 22 and March 3, 2024, 21 medical volunteers converged in Reyhanli.

Their mission was clear: to aid earthquake victims in Syria and Turkey. Specializing in various fields, these volunteers performed 83 surgeries. The focus was on cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, along with urology.

This initiative not only showcased Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian spirit but also provided critical medical relief to those affected by the earthquake. The project’s success lies in its ability to offer specialized medical interventions, bringing hope to many.

KSrelief: Medical Services Expansion

KSrelief’s medical team has demonstrated remarkable versatility. They have examined 309 patients across diverse specialties. These also include cosmetic surgery, dermatology, pediatrics, and family medicine. Their comprehensive approach ensures holistic care for earthquake victims.

This initiative underscores the center’s commitment to addressing a broad spectrum of medical needs. It also highlights the importance of accessible healthcare in disaster-stricken regions.

Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation Initiatives

In Al Hudaydah Governorate, the King Salman Center has made significant strides in water and sanitation. Approximately 10,000 people benefit from these efforts. The center has supplied six million liters of water for household and sanitary use. It has also conducted extensive waste removal and sewage drying.

These actions are vital for preventing disease outbreaks. They also ensure that displaced populations have access to clean water and sanitary conditions.

Support for Yemen through Prosthetic Services

The prosthetic center in Hadhramaut, supported by the King Salman Center, is a beacon of hope. In January alone, 411 individuals received life-changing services. These included prosthetic fittings and physical therapy. The center focuses on those who have lost limbs in the ongoing conflict. By restoring mobility, the center is, significantly, helping Yemenis regain independence and improve their quality of life.

KSrelief: Food Security Efforts in Sudan

The KSrelief ‘s food distribution in Sudan addresses urgent needs. By providing 900 food baskets in Kosti locality, the center supported 3,330 individuals. This initiative is part of a larger effort to combat hunger in Sudan. It, significantly, reflects the center’s dedication to ensuring food security for vulnerable populations. Through such actions, the center is helping to alleviate the immediate impacts of food scarcity.
