
In a significant royal directive, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, has ordered the Qiblatain Mosque in Madinah to remain open 24 hours a day. This monumental decision enables worshippers to pray at the historically significant site at any time, greatly enhancing their spiritual experience.
The governor of Madinah, Prince Salman bin Sultan, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the king and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their continued attention to mosques and their efforts to enhance services for worshippers across the Kingdom. He emphasized that all efforts will be made to ensure the highest level of care and services for the Qiblatain Mosque, recognizing its religious and historical significance.
Enhancing Mosque Services
Furthermore, Minister of Islamic affairs, Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Sheikh, highlighted that this royal directive underscores the dedication of the Saudi leadership to maintaining and developing the Kingdom’s mosques, particularly those of great historical and religious significance. He added the mosque staff fully prepared it for round-the-clock operation and equipped it with all necessary services to ensure worshippers’ comfort.
The ministry is working on a number of projects to improve mosque services in line with the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030 plan for national development and diversification. Moreover, the minister also emphasized that the ministry continues to implement quality projects to develop mosques, reflecting the Kingdom’s leading role in serving Islam and Muslims.
Relevant authorities have begun implementing the necessary operational measures to ensure the mosque’s full readiness for continuous operation. This initiative aims to enable worshippers to perform their prayers with ease and comfort.
