King Khalid University Receives the Blackboard Award

“Study in Saudi Arabia” platform serves students from 160 countries

In exchange for its initiative to adopt the full e-learning pattern in three scientific courses taught in all university branches, King Khalid University, represented by the Deanship of E-Learning, recently won the “Blackboard” Global Learning Management System Award 2022 in the Teaching and Learning Branch.

Dr. Adel Al Qahmesh, the university’s Dean of the E-Learning Deanship, explained that the courses (Physics 101, Chemistry 101, and Biology 101) were developed with their scientific and theoretical components in mind, by linking them to the E-lab platforms for the scientific experiments and the Blackboard platform.

He also highlighted the need for faculty members to be qualified and trained in interactive electronic teaching techniques and patterns.

This effort, which seeks to combine educational platforms, creates an engaging electronic learning environment and makes knowledge available to learners and simple access to it, benefiting over 1,000 male and female students at the university’s branch level.

The Blackboard Global Learning Management System honors those who use the learning management system to create unique educational solutions on an annual basis.
