King Abdullah Foundation Fuels Ramadan Charity with SAR20m Donation

The King Abdullah Humanitarian Foundation (KAHF) has announced a generous donation of SAR20 million ($5.3 million) to the national charity platform, Ehsan. This significant contribution supports vital development projects, sustainable community initiatives, and humanitarian efforts across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported. Furthermore, the donation marks a key milestone in the sixth National Campaign for Charitable Work, which takes place during Ramadan.

A Commitment to National Integration

Dr. Abdulaziz bin Fahad Al-Anqari, CEO of the foundation, emphasized the strategic importance of this partnership with the digital platform.

“The foundation’s participation through the Ehsan platform comes as a confirmation of the importance of integrating national efforts in enhancing the impact of humanitarian work,” Al-Anqari stated.

He further noted that the foundation prioritizes sustainable development solutions to achieve long-term societal stability and empower the most-needy groups. Consequently, the organization focuses on enhancing the quality of life for citizens while following the legacy of the late King Abdullah.

Global Impact and Local Heritage

The foundation draws its inspiration from the approach of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz in consolidating humanitarian work and serving society. Currently, the foundation implements diverse programs both inside the Kingdom and abroad to reach millions of people in need today. Various projects have already served more than 42 million beneficiaries across 17 different countries through humanitarian, developmental, and community-driven work.

The Ehsan platform demonstrates the immense scale of Saudi generosity, having successfully raised more than SAR4.5 billion in 2025 alone. Since its inception five years ago, more than 330 million individual donations have accumulated a total of SAR14 billion in funding. Meanwhile, the Jood Eskan platform has raised SAR5 billion from 4.5 million donors to help low-income families secure permanent housing.

The platform utilizes advanced data analytics and artificial intelligence to verify beneficiary eligibility and prevent any duplication of support effectively. Moreover, donors can complete their transactions in less than five seconds, ensuring a seamless and highly efficient charitable experience for everyone.
