
The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) has announced the launch of the 8th edition of its flagship design event, Tanween, from November 17 to 22, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Ithra has also launched the Tanween Challenges open call, which will run until October 26.
Thus, the center has invited designers from all over the world to register and participate in one of the 6-day design sprints:
- The Global Impact Challenge
- Urban Spaces Challenge
- Product Design Challenge
- Visual Communication Challenge
Themed “Design the Unspoken,” the 8th edition inspires designers to anticipate hidden needs and present bold, forward-looking designs. Notably, the flagship program seeks to highlight creativity’s potential to uncover the hidden beauty and redefine how design engages with communities.
The six-day program will provide professionals, students, and design enthusiasts with hands-on learning experiences.
Moreover, the event will feature several showcases, such as the Grad Show and an international exhibition, along with the Tanween Majlis _ a series of panel discussions with international experts.
Through curated workshops, a full day with experts, and a design market boasting regional and international brands, the program reflects Ithra’s commitment to boost Saudi Arabia’s cultural scene.
