Israeli Actions Prompt Global Scrutiny of Western Policies: British Activist
British activist Gemma Roe has delivered a bold message to Israel, saying that its crimes in Gaza have awakened the world to the reality of the situation in Palestine and the role of the Western Imperialism in supporting Israel’s false narrative.
In a viral video on social media, the activist said: “We have to hold Israel with sincere gratitude and with our deepest thanks for not only awakening the world to what you really are, the brutal mentality of your military, of the Knesset, but also the Western imperialistic machine.”
She also pointed to the dire situation in Palestine. “Because the Palestinians have been enslaved physically for over 76 years now,” Roe added.
False Propaganda
The British activist said that the world has been captive to the Israeli and Western propaganda about the conflict in Palestine. “But what you demonstrated now through our research, our understanding, through us now looking objectively and not subjectively at the situation unfolding around the world, that we also had been held captive in our minds,” she noted.
“You see enslaving people, ensnaring our consciousness in rewriting the history books, eradicating whole countries, creating a culture of not in fear but in tense propaganda by which all believe that we are the good guys,” Roe said.
History Speaks Truth
However, she said that history reveals the truth about the Western world. “It only takes a moment to have a look back at history and appreciate the very recently after 9/11, the imperialistic war machine, led largely by the US, has killed over 5 million people globally, and that in the last 20 years,” the activist stated.
She gave examples of heinous crimes committed by Western powers against innocent civilians throughout the history. “We hear of Hitler and the horrendous things he did to the Jewish without once considering the King Leopold and the 20 million Congolese he murdered, enslaved, eaten. We don’t look back and connect the dots between what happened to the aboriginals, the native American Indians, where 50 million were slaughtered by the Western imperialistic machine,” she said.
Roe also mentioned Western crimes elsewhere. “We don’t speak about Maori tribes in New Zealand, the tribes in Borneo, Indonesia, Malaysia. In fact, around the whole globe there has been a trail of destruction, death, killing, fear, wrath, executed by the Western imperialistic machine,” she said.
Global Awakening
The Israeli crimes in Gaza have awakened people around the world to the truth about both Israel and the West. “And thank you Israel because you awakened us to all of this. And not only is the West losing the war on all fronts in the battle field, it is losing hearts and minds of citizens.
“We the British, the Americans, the Canadians, the Australians, the Kiwis, we are rising up in our millions, we don’t concede, we don’t approve. We’re pulling our kids out of school, we’re halting our taxes, we’re opening history books, realizing we, like the Israeli citizens, have been lied to our entire lives,” she noted.
The British activist pointed to the Western propaganda against Islam, saying that the recent events have unveiled the true nature of Muslims.
“We’re learning actually that Islam is nothing to fear and that our Muslim community, our brothers and sisters, are the most gentle, the most compassionate and the kindest people in our communities. Islam has been propaganda and weaponized and vilified, we have eyes and we have ears and we’re now using our intellect and our time to discover the truth,” Gemma Roe said, concluding her speech with “free Palestine.”
