Iran’s nuclear program: KSA keeps its call for engagement in ongoing talks
The Council of Ministers met via video call with King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. They, while reviewing the latest developments in Iran’s nuclear programme, reiterated the kingdom’s call for Iran to participate in ongoing talks, avoid escalation, and not put the region’s security and stability at risk.
They discussed the need for the international community to reach an agreement with stronger and longer determinants for the implementation of monitoring and control measures to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.
His Excellency confirmed that the Council expressed its condemnation of the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia’s systematic and deliberate use of drones (booby traps) and ballistic missiles to attack civilians and civilian targets in the Kingdom, which the Saudi Royal Air Defense Forces were able to intercept and destroy.
