Saudi Arabia plans to attract more than 5 million Chinese visitors to Kingdom by the end of the decade. Could Saudi Arabia become the top destination for luxury travel?
This is what the Chinese “Jingdaily” newspaper discussed, reviewing the prominent tourist sites that attract Chinese visitors to the Kingdom.
Moreover, it reviewed the essential future plans that Vision 2030 aims to achieve in the tourism and travel sectors.
The newspaper highlighted a comprehensive investment plan of $800 billion to promote Saudi Arabia’s diverse natural landscapes, cultural heritage, and untapped natural assets on a global scale.
This recognizes the increasing Chinese demand for exclusive travel, solidifying the Kingdom’s position as a leading luxury travel destination.
KSA Efforts to Attract Chinese Tourists
The Chinese newspaper pointed out that as part of its strategic approach, the Kingdom plans to allocate $500 billion to enhance its tourist offerings in emerging markets, focusing on China.
The General Authority for Tourism has actively sought to attract visitors by establishing partnerships with 700 registered entities in China and coordinating with Chinese promotional platforms such as “Trip.com” and “Tencent.”
Additionally, the Saudi Tourism Council has sought help from Chinese advertising agencies and specialized teams to analyze the preferences of Chinese travelers.
Unique Experiences at KSA
It also confirmed that Saudi Arabia offers a rich tapestry of natural landscapes and diverse experiences for Chinese travelers. This ranges from the northern ski resorts in Al-Turaif, which hosted the Asian Winter Games, to the stunning Red Sea.
The Red Sea provides 1,700 kilometers of diving opportunities, island exploration, and maritime adventures.
The highlands boast mild temperatures and lush green mountains. They are surrounded by over 1,500 villages offering opportunities for adventure and long walks.
