Homezmart announced the start of its commercial operations in the Kingdom, in preparation for a new phase in the furniture industry in the region, intending to support regional trade and economic growth in the Middle East.
Homezmart, the leading platform for trading furniture and home products in the Middle East, relies on efficiency as the core of its digitalization, which it has taken to improve and expand its business operations, and its efforts in this regard have made logistics services 80% faster and 30% more cost-effective.
Ibrahim Mohamed, co-founder, and COO of Homezmart said, “We are excited to start our commercial operations in the Kingdom and Egypt, as it represents a milestone for Homes Mart and regional trade. Our strategy is not only to operate in both markets but to bring them closer together and create opportunities for effective business cooperation.”
“The disruption to global supply chains, high oil prices, in addition to our strategic location in Damietta –Egypt- and our fast and cost-effective logistics services – make the deepening of Saudi-Egyptian trade in furniture and household goods a win-win,” he added.
He noted that Homezmart has established its own logistics company intending to digitize the industry. The company expanded in the Kingdom, a huge market of $15 billion, and growing at a compound annual rate of up to 10%. The company was also able to triple its total operations in 2021 than it was in 2020, thanks to huge consumer demand.
Earlier this month, Homezmart announced its acquisition of Berlin-based technology company MockUp Studio, becoming the first Egyptian startup to expand in Germany to add new activities to it.
