Greenhouse and Instagram launch an initiative to develop fashion startups in Saudi Arabia

Saudi-UN report highlights the slowdown in growth in Arab countries

 Chalhoub Group’s Greenhouse Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program and Instagram have announced the beginning of an initiative to mentor and nurture high-potential local fashion entrepreneurs in Saudi Arabia.

This project aims to encourage entrepreneurship and innovation in businesses while also identifying unique and creative Saudi fashion labels.

Over the course of five months, Instagram will cooperate with the Chalhoub Group Greenhouse to provide resources and talents to Saudi fashion companies in order to help them scale their businesses and accelerate their growth.

The Fashion Lab, the Kingdom’s first initiative of its kind, builds on the Chalhoub Group’s mission to uncover and promote innovative Saudi firms with creative concepts, giving them a platform to grow into business leaders.

Early-stage projects and brands will get up to $15,000 in funding to establish their own retail offers in casual wear, sustainable fashion

, contemporary designs, and accessories.

The programme is an open innovation platform that combines the Chalhoub Group’s operational skills with industry professionals’ ideas to help create potential Saudi companies and develop Saudi fashion talent.

Through the “A Concept By MUSE Store” in Riad Park, brands were also given access to the Chalhoub Group’s wide retail network, including the group’s online and offline outlets.
