Grab Your Bags: First-ever PaperBack – Art Book Fair is Coming to Saudi Arabia
The Diriyah Biennale Foundation gears up to host the inaugural edition of the PaperBack – Art Book Fair tomorrow, November 1.
Time and Location
Set to take place at the JAX District in Diriyah, the fair will feature 25 artists and collectives, independent presses, booksellers, and zine makers.
The fair will run until November 3, offering three exceptional days of joy and bookish spirit.
The three-day event will represent a prestigious cultural and creative gathering bringing together publishers, cultural organizations, and academic institutions.
Moreover, it will serve as a valuable platform for cultural exchange with participants hailing from 16 countries, including China, Egypt, India, Italy, Japan, and Jordan.
Other countries will also take part in the event such as Lebanon, Morocco, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Switzerland, the UAE, as well as the UK.
Outstanding Participations
Interestingly, the bookish event will highlight the participation of Brownbook magazine, the Cairo Art Book Fair, and Set Margins’ publications from the Netherlands.
Among the participants are 51 Personae, a collective publishing project from China alongside Kaph Books from Lebanon, which specializes in art books from the Arab world.
Furthermore, the online photo and artbook shop, Shashasha from Japan will be an integral part of the fair.

The fair will run from Friday, November 1 to Sunday, November 3.
