Exhibition on King Faisal’s historic visit in Europe opens in London

Prince Turki Al-Faisal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies, opened recently the (Al-Faisal) exhibition on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the historic journey of King Faisal bin Abdulaziz to Europe and the signing of the Versailles Treaty, in the Nash Room in the UK capital, London.

The opening was attended by Prince Khalid bin Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the United Kingdom, a number of ministers, diplomats, businessmen, media and public figures, and a group of academics, researchers and students.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, “SPA”, Prince Turki Al-Faisal valued the historical, political, diplomatic, cultural and economic friendship between the Saudi and UK governments and peoples.

He further noted that the launch of the (Al-Faisal) exhibition in London for a period of three weeks on King  Faisal’s  European tour as a sign of the good relations between the two countries.

(Al-Faisal) exhibition is considered the first exhibition in Europe, with the aim of highlighting the importance of late King Faisal, his personality, history and career as one of the prominent kings of Saudi Arabia.

“Al-Faisal” exhibition was organized in a number of regions of Saudi Arabia during the past years, in addition to its foreign tour, which was hosted by the cities of Astana and Almaty in the Republic of Kazakhstan during 2017.
