Ahmed Hamad Al-Nuaimi, a financial and economic analyst, commended Saudi Arabia’s swift integration of the Arab-Islamic Summits. He highlighted the urgent need for this unified approach in response to the escalating humanitarian Gaza crisis.

Urgent Call for a United Stance

In press statements to the “Economy Today” website, Al-Naimi stressed the critical need for a strong and united stance from the summit. He emphasized the importance of sending a global message to immediately cease fire and halt Israeli repressions against Palestinians.

Consensus for Palestinian Rights

The analyst underscored the importance of consensus among Islamic nations participating in the summit. He called for upholding legitimate Palestinian rights and avoiding any conflicts that could weaken the Islamic world’s stance.

Collective Effort at the Summit

57 countries gathered at the Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh, aiming for a unified stance to represent the joint Arab-Islamic will regarding the dire situation in Gaza.

Response to Gaza’s Extraordinary Situation

In light of Gaza’s critical circumstances, Saudi Arabia, along with the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, organized an extraordinary Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh on November 11, 2023.

Notably, the Saudi Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza at the Arab Islamic Summit Held today in Riyadh. This appeal, made amidst the ongoing conflict in the region, marks a critical moment in the pursuit of peace and stability. “We are facing a humanitarian catastrophe that testifies to the failure of the UN Security Council and the international community to put an end to the Israeli violations – a matter that demonstrates double standards.” Crown Prince said.

Prior to the summit, Gaza witnessed a fresh wave of violence, bringing renewed international attention to the decades-long conflict. These escalations have led to significant civilian casualties and widespread destruction, underscoring the urgency for a peaceful resolution.
