Response to Gaza’s Extraordinary Situation
In light of Gaza’s critical circumstances, Saudi Arabia, along with the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, organized an extraordinary Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh on November 11, 2023.
Notably, the Saudi Crown Prince Mohamed bin Salman called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza at the Arab Islamic Summit Held today in Riyadh. This appeal, made amidst the ongoing conflict in the region, marks a critical moment in the pursuit of peace and stability. “We are facing a humanitarian catastrophe that testifies to the failure of the UN Security Council and the international community to put an end to the Israeli violations – a matter that demonstrates double standards.” Crown Prince said.
Prior to the summit, Gaza witnessed a fresh wave of violence, bringing renewed international attention to the decades-long conflict. These escalations have led to significant civilian casualties and widespread destruction, underscoring the urgency for a peaceful resolution.
