Deputy Emir of El Medina inaugurates the Festival of Cultures and Peoples

On behalf of the Emir of Medina, Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Deputy Emir of the region, inaugurated recently the Festival of Cultures and Peoples in its tenth edition, organized by the Islamic University under the slogan “The World Under One Roof”.

Some eminent persons, ambassadors, and consuls of some Arab and Islamic countries attended the Kingdom.

Prof. Dr. Mamdouh bin Thunayan, President of the Islamic University, praised the regional governor’s sponsorship of the festival and his deputy’s role in its inaugural ceremony.

The festival is a cultural phenomenon that brings together more than 90 pavilions representing most countries around the world.

The festival seeks to provide students with the opportunity to present their nations’ cultures and civilizations in a forum that encourages debate

it sends messages of cohabitation and friendship, as well as spreading love and peace among diverse peoples in a rich educational and cultural setting.

The Festival of Cultures and Peoples activities will continue until May 26, and it also welcomes visitors to interact with the various pillars and activities offered by the festival.

It is noteworthy that the festival represents part of the message of peaceful coexistence between diverse cultures through its cultural component.
