Prince Bader explained that the selection reflects the depth of Saudi-Syrian cultural relations, which are founded on partnership and mutual respect. He noted that the choice also aligns with the Kingdom’s commitment to strengthening cultural exchange—one of the core objectives of the National Culture Strategy under Saudi Vision 2030. Through this strategy, the Ministry of Culture seeks to promote creative dialogue between nations, encourage the exchange of knowledge and expertise, and reinforce the Kingdom’s influential role in Arab and global cultural spheres.

He further highlighted the richness and diversity of Syrian culture, emphasizing that Syria’s participation as Guest of Honor will significantly enrich the upcoming edition of the fair. According to Prince Bader, the event will foster a vibrant and interactive cultural environment, bringing together Saudi and Syrian audiences, as well as intellectuals and creatives from both countries, through a wide range of literary and cultural activities.

The Riyadh International Book Fair aims to further consolidate its position as the region’s largest book fair, measured by visitor numbers, sales volume, and the diversity of its cultural programming.
